Set Lunch Parties

You can choose from one of the Dinner Menus below, or you can have our Set Lunch menu (2 choices per course) at £14.95 for 2 courses, £19.95 for 3 courses. Simpler style and ingredients than the main menu, but still excellent quality.

Sunday Lunch Parties

Groups of any number can choose from our Sunday Lunch menu (6 choices per course) at £25 for 3 courses

Dinner Parties for 12-18

You can create your own set menu or opt for our
FOUR CHOICE MENU – a selection of 4 starters, 4 main courses and 4 sweets/cheese, taken from our A La Carte Menu. Chef Patron Simon Cadge will decide on the exact choice of dishes on the actual day, depending on the availability of fresh ingredients. If you would specifically like a certain dish to be included, just advise us in advance. We include an extra vegetable with the main course, together with coffee or tea to finish.
The price is £29.50 per person.

Dinner Parties of 19+

Please create your own set menu by talking to Chef Patron Simon Cadge about your preferences. Some of his suggested ideas are set out below. We ask that you choose one dish per course, but of course we can make exceptions for dietary issues.
Our set menus, inclusive of three courses and coffee, are normally £29.50 per person, depending on dishes chosen.
If budget is an issue, however, please speak to us as we can normally create a menu to meet most requirements!

EXAMPLE OF A WINTER SET MENU

Gravadlax (cured salmon) with warm potato and celeriac salad, apple and mustard seed dressing

Twice-cooked shoulder of lamb with boulangère potato, braised red cabbage and roast root vegetables

Orange sponge pudding with custard

Coffee or tea with almond biscuits


SPRING SET MENU

Salad of rhubarb, Cashel Blue cheese, watercress, dandelion, purple basil and crunchy pecans

Pan-fried Loch Duart salmon with cauliflower purée, char-grilled asparagus, ratte potatoes and sorrel sauce

Glazed nespole tart with crème fraîche sorbet

Coffee or tea with almond biscuits


SUMMER SET MENU

Warm salad of char-grilled courgettes, confit pepper, buffalo mozzareall, marjoram and anchovy

Roast corn-fed chicken with fondant potato, spinach, asparagus, broad beans and pancetta

Strawberry trifle

Coffee or tea with almond biscuits


AUTUMN SET MENU

Ham hock terrine with potato salad, beetroot relish and soft boiled egg

Breast of pheasant with pearl barley, chestnuts, brussel tops and confit swede

Iced nougat parfait with glazed pears

A SPECIAL DINNER PARTY MENU – at £39 per person

Terrine of foie gras and duck with toasted brioche and red onion marmalade

Char-grilled medaillions of beef with potato gratin, wilted spinach, wild mushrooms and soft green peppercorns

‘Tarte Tatin’ (caramelised apple tart) with rum and raisin ice cream

Coffee or tea with almond biscuits


John Hoskins (Master of Wine) can suggest appropriate wines to go with each course as required
