February 19: . We want to let everyone know that we are OPEN as usual. There are some road works being carried out by Anglian Water, but this does not effect access to the pub at the moment. Please ignore the signs ' road closed ahead', the Loop road is still open and you can cut through the village. We will keep you up to date with the progress.
August 18 Woohoo!!!! We've done it again. We are named ' Cambridgeshire Dining pub of the Year 2019' (Good Pub Guide). We are all so excited and like to thank all our customer for saying nice things about us. Also a BIG thank you to our fantastic team, as without all your hard work, this wouldn't be possible. THANK YOU ALL😀💪❤️
The Pheasant is a beautiful, thatched, traditional inn, set in a sleeping farming village 12 miles west of Huntingdon. The large bar is a traditional and unspoilt mixture of oak beams, large open fires and simple wooden furniture. At the rear there’s a more airy Garden Room with a sunny and stylish patio garden beyond.
Simon Cadge is Chef Patron. Simon trained at the Old Bridge at Huntingdon, before running his own pub, The Crown at Broughton and then taking over The Pheasant. The front of house team is led by Simon's partner Gerda Koedijk.
They are supported by John Hoskins, whose family have run or been involved with The Pheasant since 1964. John and Julia Hoskins’s other business is The Old Bridge at Huntingdon.
We offer both a full menu and snacks every day we are open (Tuesday through to Sunday lunch). You are as welcome for a pint (Adnams or Nene Valley Bitter) and some homemade crisps as you are for a full meal.
Food orders are taken:
12-2pm and 6.30-9.30pm Tuesday to Saturday
12-3pm and 6-11pm Tuesday to Thursday
12-11pm Friday and Saturday
The Pheasant is shut Sunday evening and Monday, but can be booked for a private party. Open on Bank Holiday Monday lunch.
